Dementia-friendly art workshops at Oriental Museum

(20 June 2019)

We want our museums and attractions to be accessible to, and enjoyed by, all.

So we’re really pleased to be starting dementia-friendly art workshops at our Oriental Museum.

Tell me about the workshops…

They’re aimed at people living with mild to moderate dementia, and their carers.

Participants will explore the Museum’s collections and create their own artwork inspired by what they see and do.

They’ll take place every Wednesday from 2.30pm to 4.30pm, and each session will be run by a professional artist.

They’re called Creative Age and have been developed by Equal Arts, a creative ageing charity.

All materials are provided, free refreshments are available and there is free on-site parking.

The first session is Wednesday 26 June.
