Be among first to see new historical finds

(10 June 2019)

You can be among the first to see re-discovered Bronze Age artefacts at a new exhibition.

The ‘Prehistoric Pioneers: A Journey Through Life in Bronze Age Britain’ exhibition opens at our Palace Green Library on Friday 14 June.

What can I see?

The exhibition includes finely crafted weapons, metalwork and other beautiful artefacts, all discovered by local metal detectorists.

You can learn more about the daily lives, rituals, warfare and farming of Bronze Age people, and why the discoveries challenge the idea that these were ‘primitive’ cultures.

The exhibition is curated by a team of our students, and closely follows topics taught in schools as part of Key Stage 1 and 2 history lessons.

The exhibition runs until Sunday 24 November. Entry is free.
