University and City: Growing together

Community Fun Day

You’re invited to our Community Fun Day!

Summer is on its way and we’d like to invite you to our first Community Fun Day!

Our staff and students organise and run an extraordinary variety of inspiring activities and the Community Fun Day will bring as many of them as possible together in one place for an event which is free and open to all to enjoy.

Where and When

Our first Community Fun Day will be held on Saturday 22 June, from 10am to 3pm.

The venue is a marquee on Palace Green, between Durham Castle and Durham Cathedral, so we’ll be going ahead whatever the weather!

What’s on offer

There will be something for all ages and interests. That will include live music, theatre, sports, dancing, hands-on science, arts and crafts, stalls, exhibitions and much more.

There will also be refreshments available.

So we hope that you'll come along, join us and have fun being curious and trying something new.

Entry is free. A small charge may apply for some activities.

How do I sign up?

No registration is necessary: just come along and have fun!

Some activities will be scheduled for certain times of the day, so keep an eye on our web page for all the latest information, or follow the Facebook event.
