Ms Megan Croll
Megan is the President of Durham Students’ Union and serves as an ex-officio member of Council, the Senate, Finance Committee, Ethics Advisory Committee and University Strategy Implementation Committee during her term in office. She graduated from Durham University in 2016 with a BSc Honours degree in Geography.
During her time as an undergraduate, Megan was primarily involved in her Common Room, St Cuthbert's Society JCR. Her interests have always concentrated around student politics, holding positions as Assistant Chair and JCR Vice President. During the academic year 2016/17, Megan was the JCR President of St Cuthbert's Society and particularly focussed on improving Common Room governance, and tackling financial barriers associated with coming to University.
During her term in office as President of the Students’ Union, Megan's main aim will to be to examine the cost of being a student at Durham and tackle related issues. She also plans to continue to increase consultation and communication with students, and improve the channels for feedback between the Union and the University.
