The booking period for retrieval of student belongings has now closed. Please contact student.belongings@durham.ac.uk or contact your College directly, if you have any queries relating to belongings left in College accommodation.

Private Accommodation:

Students currently living outside of Durham who are planning on returning to Durham, in order to clear belongings from private accommodation, are strongly advised to do so with government advice, and to ensure that their return to their student accommodation considers the safety and wellbeing of both themselves and their neighbours here in Durham, ensuring that social distancing is implemented as far as possible. If your private accommodation provider or landlord has asked you to collect your possessions but you do not believe that it is safe to do so, please contact the SU Advice Service for information and advice.

  • I wish to leave my student accommodation and return to my family home. What is the latest update from the University?

The government's advice is now that students remaining at university in England can now move back to their family home if they wish to do so. If you do decide to leave your accommodation in Durham, please take your personal belongings with you and continue to follow relevant government guidance on social distancing. Do not leave your accommodation if you or anyone in your household has symptoms of Covid-19.
