Lunch time seminars in
Digital Theology

During the spring CODEC will run two lunchtime seminars within the area of Digital Theology at St John’s College which are open for all to attend. Both seminars will also be live streamed on CODEC’s Facebook Page. Please contact Penny Bissell for further information.

Dr Scott Midson, Cyborg Theology
13th March 12:30 pm in the Wallis Room, St John's College

Dr Scott Midson is a postdoctoral researcher at Lincoln Theological Institute where he is the lead researcher on the ‘Living with and Loving Machines’ project. During the seminar Midson will discuss his recent book Cyborg Theology, which grapples with intersection between theology and posthumanism.

Dr Eric Stoddart, Surveillance from the Cross
8th May, 12.30 pm in room PG24

Eric Stoddart is a lecturer at the School of Divinity, St Andrews University. He has published extensively within public theology, more recently critically engaged with surveillance cultures and digital technology. The seminar provides an opportunity to discuss his research in this area.

A competitively-priced annual week-long conference in June, held at St John's College (Durham), designed for those training for Christian leadership and those already engaged in Christian ministry. The course explores Christian ministry and the media, and has been highly praised by previous delegates (even those who started out skeptical!).

Premier Digital Awards & Conference (PremDAC)

We work with Premier Christian Media for this annual day conference, held in London in the late autumn, with around 35 expert speakers, and nearly 600 delegates seeking to understand how to flourish online within a Christian context, from beginners to those seeking to dive in more deeply.
