Education Analysis & Regulation

The service provides direct support to both the Vice Provost (Education) and Deputy, working on educational papers and policies as directed, and supporting institutional engagement with relevant external bodies and processes (e.g. the Office for Students, the QAA, TEF). We manage institutional external surveys such as the National Student Survey, the Postgraduate Taught Experience Survey and the Postgraduate Research Experience Survey. We provide analysis of quantitative and qualitative educational information and metrics (student survey results, retention rates, external examiner reports, and attainment), providing support for departments in these areas as required.

We support the development of the University’s quality policies and procedures, and the regulatory framework for the University’s educational provision. We are responsible for drafting the University's educational regulations, guidance and handbooks for all students, and for maintaining the resulting publications (in particular, the Learning and Teaching Handbook and the University Calendar).

Further information on, and papers and minutes for, education committees are available via links in the left-hand navigation, as are details on the institution's core guidance, regulations and handbooks.
