Format of papers for EC
All documents submitted for consideration by Education Committee must be accompanied by a coversheet. If the document is a paper for consideration, it must be accompanied by a completed coversheet using the following template:
If the document is a report from a sub-committee of Education Committee, it must be accompanied by a completed coversheet using the following template.
Documents submitted without a coversheet will not be included on an Education Committee agenda until a coversheet has been submitted.
In addition, where papers to Education Committee are proposing the introduction of new policies/processes, or significant changes to existing policies/processes, the paper must also include an impact analysis that highlights the key changes/new requirements and the resulting demands that will be made on those involved in the implementation of the new/revised policy or process. This impact analysis can either be incorporated within the paper itself (as a separate section) or should form a separate annex to the paper. There is no prescribed template for an impact analysis, although an example of an impact analysis can be found in the final two pages of the document available here.
The Academic Office has developed guidelines for report writing that those preparing papers for Education Committee might find it useful to consult when preparing their paper.
