Remote Scan

Scan your computer from 1 January 2019. That way, if any updates are required, you'll have time to resolve them before the start of term.

Before you can connect to the network at Durham University, you need to submit your computer to be checked against our security policies. It’s an important process that keeps your devices and our networks secure. If your computer doesn’t pass through the scan – we'll let you know which updates you need to carry out before you can get connected.

The remote scan facility allows you to check your computer against our network policies before you arrive at Durham. You can also use this facility before the start of each term, to make sure you can get connected straightaway when you return.
