Computing and Information Services (CIS) is responsible for providing and maintaining Durham University's information technology services to support teaching, learning, research, and administrative activities.

We supply the IT facilities which are needed for everything from booking a room to managing contracts, and from submitting an assignment to producing annual reports and accounts. A large part of the computing power underpinning Durham's research work is managed by us, and we work closely with those whose needs are more individual to ensure that specialised equipment can be connected into the overall environment where necessary.
