Update 15:13 13 December 2021

Further to our message on Friday 10 December, there may be ongoing availability and performance issues on a small number of CIS services. This is as a result of mitigating actions CIS has put in place to ensure the continued protection of University systems following the alert issued by the National Cyber Security Centre (https://www.ncsc.gov.uk/news/apache-log4j-vulnerability) relating to a known vulnerability (referred to as Log4j) which is impacting many organisations globally.

Some Power BI services are currently unavailable and we will aim to restore access as quickly as possible, whilst continuing to ensure the university systems maintain protected. You may also experience slow performance running certain corporate applications via Parallels.

If you are experiencing any other issues not mentioned in this message, please contact the IT Service Desk to log a new call for support.

We continue to work with our 3rd party vendors to monitor the situation and we will provide an update in due course.
