We're committed to making IT easier for our staff and students, and to do this we've introduced a new timetable tool in time for next academic year.
MyTimetable will provide an online personalised timetable for all undergraduates and taught post-graduates, and staff with a teaching responsibility.
What is MyTimetable?
For students, it gives you an at-a-glance view of your own unique timetable so you can see all of your teaching and learning activities regardless of whether you're a single, joint or combined honours student studying in one or several departments.
For staff, it shows where and when the lectures, seminars and workshops you teach will take place.
When can I see my personalised timetable in MyTimetable?
For students: You will need to register for your modules following the usual process. Once registration is complete and a finalised timetable has been approved, your personalised timetable will be available in MyTimetable. We will be updating this information throughout the summer, so please keep checking in. We expect your personalised timetable to be complete towards the end of Welcome Week. Please check your timetable again before you start to attend classes as last minute changes may have been necessary.
For staff: The MyTimetable website is now live showing your 2021/22 timetable. We encourage you to have a look at your timetable as soon as possible, and if you have any queries, please contact your departmental timetable coordinator. Not sure who yours is? How can I access MyTimetable?
Academic teaching staff and students all have access to MyTimetable. You can access the site by visiting https://mytimetable.durham.ac.uk/login/
Can I look at the timetable for a module before deciding whether to choose it?
You can see the timetable for modules to see when all of the teaching activities on that module are scheduled to take place. Ensure that you have chosen ‘Teaching Year’ from the ‘Select Weeks’ drop down.
Can you send me an example timetable for my programme?
It is not possible to easily produce an ‘example’ timetable as each programme usually offers a large choice of different modules.
I am registered on the wrong module/programme. What should I do?
You need to contact your department so they can ensure you are registered for the correct modules/programme. If you are a student in the Business School, please speak to your Learning and Teaching team.
I don’t know how many optional modules/credits to choose. How can I get help?
Please contact your department who should be able to advise you. If you are a student in the Business School, please speak to your Learning and Teaching team.
I have a clash on MyTimetable what can I do?
Please contact your department and discuss options with them. If you are a student in the Business School, please speak to your Learning and Teaching team.
I have a problem with my exam timetable. Who should I speak to?

I need to change my tutorial group because I have caring responsibilities/a part-time job
Please contact your department and discuss the possibility of changing tutorial group with them. If you are a student in the Business School, you will need to speak to your Learning and Teaching team.
I need to know what my timetable might look like because I have caring responsibilities/a part-time job.
If you’re timetable is not yet available on MyTimetable, please discuss options with your department. If you are a student in the Business School, please speak to your Learning and Teaching team.
Is there any way I can see my calendar data on MyTimetable?
Yes, your calendar view will display on MyTimetable. However, the data will only be accurate up to the time of your last synchronisation. Please make sure you use the calendar feed as a rough guide and continue to refer to MyTimetable for more up-to-date information.
Where can I see my exam timetable?
You will be able to see this in the My Timetable app.
Why is MyTimetable empty?
You need to check that your module choices have been approved. Please contact your department to do this. If you are a student in the Business School, please speak to your Learning and Teaching team.
If your modules have been approved and you still can’t see your timetable when you log onto the app, you need to contact the IT Service Desk as you may have a problem accessing MyTimetable.
