IT Governance within the University

The Chief Information Officer (CIO) is accountable to the Chief Operating Officer (COO) for the delivery of IT and the IT Strategy. The COO is accountable to the Vice Chancellor, who is in turn accountable to Council.
The IT Transformation Board (ITTB) is a sub-group of UEC and provides a governance function to oversee the delivery of IT services and the implementation of IT change in Durham University, the implementation of a new Target Operating Model for Computing and Information Services, and the delivery of key underpinning project activity in support of the University Strategy. It is Chaired by the PSS UEC Lead.
The IT Advisory Group (ITAG) is chaired by the CIO. The ITAG is a forum for advising the IT Transformation Board on the overall direction for the development of University IT, providing input to strategic decisions on IT resources and priorities; and provides assurance to UEC that engagement between CIS and user communities is fit for purpose.
IT Users' Group (ITUG) is a forum for users across the university to have input to the implementation of the IT Strategy and feedback on the effectiveness of IT provision. ITUG reports to ITAG.
