IT Governance within the University

The Chief Information Officer (CIO) is accountable to the Chief Operating Officer (COO) for the delivery of IT and the IT Strategy. The COO is accountable to the Vice Chancellor, who is in turn accountable to Council.
We have an IT Advisory Group (ITAG) which is chaired by an academic member of the University Executive Committee. The ITAG is a forum for advising the CIO and UEC on the overall direction for the development of University IT, providing input to strategic decisions on IT resources and priorities; and provides assurance to UEC and the CIO that engagement between CIS and user communities is fit for purpose.
IT Users Group is a forum for users across the university to have input to the implementation of the IT Strategy and feedback on the effectiveness of IT provision. ITUG reports to ITAG.
