How do I get a Campus Card?
As a student or member of staff at the University you are entitled to a campus card. If you are a visitor it may also be suitable for you to carry a card with you whilst on University premises.
I’m a student
When you enrol with the University, uploading a photograph for your campus card is part of the process and, providing you do this, you’ll be able to collect your card from your college (undergraduates) or department (post-graduates) upon arrival. To avoid the need to have to queue and wait, we recommend that you do this as part of the online enrolment process. If you're not able to you will need to visit CIS during the induction week and have your card printed while you wait. If you do this, you’ll need a verification slip from your college or department (providing proof that all registration steps have been completed) to be able to do this.
I’m a member of staff
As a member of staff, you can collect your campus card from the IT Service Desk (in the Bill Bryson Library in Durham or Queen’s Campus Library in Stockton). You’ll need to bring proof of identity with you.
I’m a visitor
Authorised visitors to the University are entitled to a campus card. A campus card is required for the physical access to certain buildings and for use of Library facilities.
In order to obtain a visitor campus card, fill in the Visitor Campus Card registration form and have it authorised by the relevant person before returning it to the IT Service Desk. A hardcopy of the form can be obtained from the IT Service Desk, Bill Bryson Library Enquiries or the Queen's Campus Library, Stockton or downloaded from the link above.
NB: The Visitor Campus Card registration form should only be completed if CIS facilities (i.e. IT access) are NOT required. If computer services and facilities are required by authorised visitors, please complete the Personal registration form instead.
