Self-Service Password Reset
Overview
If you need to change your password – perhaps you’ve forgotten it or want to change it to something more memorable – you can use the Self-Service Password Reset tool.
Before you can reset a forgotten password you'll need to setup Self-Service Password Reset, we strongly advise you do this as soon as you get access to your account, that way you can reset your password 24/7 365 days a year without the need to contact our Service Desk team.
Easily reset your password if:
- you’ve forgotten it
- you want to make it more memorable
- it’s been compromised
How do I get access?
To register for the Self-Service Password Reset tool:
- Go to: https://mysignins.microsoft.com/security-info
- Click Add Method
- Choose to register both a personal (non-Durham) email address, and security questions
If you forget your password in the future, you can then choose the Forgotten my password option from the Office 365 sign-in page, or visit the Microsoft Password Reset page.
