Current roles and responsibilities

Works with the PVCs, Senior Academics and Managers to develop relationships between strategic stakeholders in the university's educational processes and all aspects of IT provision. Facilitates better internal communication and supports innovation, collaboration and identification of good practices. Analyses teaching and learning requirements, develops solutions and provides assurance for the successful implementation of projects. Helps shape strategy to deliver robust foundations for the university’s future ambitions.

Manages the CIS Education Team comprised of:

  • Learning Technology Team – Manage the university’s learning systems and provide support and guidance in the use and benefits of technology in supporting e-Learning. Help staff develop materials and pedagogical approaches to delivery.
  • Audio Visual Team - Responsible for AV equipment in teaching and learning spaces and other facilities across campus. Coordinate business as usual support, provide the university technical expertise and lead on strategic refresh and maintenance works with Estates and Buildings.
