'It’s Not Just Fracking: New Database of Human-Induced Quakes'

Prof Gillian Foulger's research on human induced earthquakes has been described in an article in Earth & Science Space News. The article, which can be read here in full, highlights the links between human activity and ground movement. Recent controversy over fracking in the UK has highlighted our potential impact, but Prof. Foulger's work shows that many processes can induce earthquakes, including gas exploration, mining and dams.
