All of the University's postgraduate students are members of the University's Graduate School, which supports postgraduate education across the University. The Academic Support Office supports the Graduate School in the following ways:
- Supporting the Dean of Postgraduate and Undergraduate Education and chairs of Faculty Education Committees in the development of postgraduate policy and strategy.
- Supporting the governance of postgraduate education, as the secretariat for Faculty Education Committees (Postgraduate). This includes the quality management of all postgraduate taught and research degree programmes.
- Managing key student progress procedures for postgraduate students (concessions, academic progress notices, appeals and complaints and the annual report process for research students).
- Managing the assessment process for research degree students.
Responsibility for supporting the chairs of Faculty Education Committees (Postgraduate) and for managing the processes listed above within their faculty, rests with the relevant Assistant Registrar:
