Welcoming New staff
Recently the Leadership Centre welcomed Barbara Wisse. Barbara also has an appointment at the University of Groningen where she is a Professor of Organisational Psychology. She obtained her PhD in psychology from the University of Leiden, The Netherlands. Her work focusses explicitly on power and leadership processes and often revolves around topics such as ethics and morality, emotions and the psychological effects of change. Read more about Barbara
Another recent appoint was Dr Susanne Braun who joined us as Senior Lecturer in Leadership. Susanne received her PhD from Ludwig Maximilian University Munich in 2011 and previously held posts at TUM School of Management and LMU Center for Leadership and People Management in Munich, Germany. In 2016 The Leadership Centre will expand further when we welcome the following faculty:
Olga Epitropaki, currently Professor, the "Stavros Costopoulos" Chair at ALBA Graduate Business School at the American College of Greece and Senior Lecturer at Aston Business School. Olga's research and teaching focuses on leadership, psychological contracts, work affect, diversity management and employability. For her doctoral thesis she won the 2001 Jepson School Award for Outstanding Dissertations in Leadership Studies (University of Richmond, US), and she also was among the six finalists for the 2000 Newman Best Dissertation Award for the Academy of Management.
Yanjun Guan, currently Senior Lecturer in Human Resource Management at Suurrey. He obtained his PhD in psychology from the Chinese University of Hong Kong in 2009. After serving as a post-doctoral fellow at the Hong Kong Polytechnic University for one year, he worked for School of Labor and Human Resources, Renmin University of China from 2010 to 2014.
Qin Zhou, currently Lecturer in Human Resource Management at York. Previously an Assistant Professor at ISCTE-Lisbon University Institute in Portugal and Twente University in the Netherlands. She has a MSc in HRM & Business and a PhD in Management from Aston University.
