Museum of Archaeology

Volunteers are an invaluable part of any museum's team, and they come from all walks of life. Without their dedicated time, knowledge and energy behind the scenes, we wouldn’t achieve half as much as we do.

Volunteers are an invaluable part of any museum's team, and they come from all walks of life. Without their dedicated time, knowledge and energy behind the scenes, we wouldn’t achieve half as much as we do.

This exhibition highlights some of the recent work carried out by our team of volunteers at the Museum of Archaeology. It explores everything from the everyday tasks they undertake, to the exciting mysteries they come across. They have put together this exhibition to showcases some of their favourite artefacts, including: bones, ceramics and glass.

Explore the work of the volunteers and get to understand the community aspect of museum life at the Museum of Archaeology.
