Research Student List
Mr Ben Gruwier, BA, MA
After gaining his BA in Archaeology at the university of Ghent, Ben obtained his MA at the Catholic University of Leuven, specializing in the fields of osteoarchaeology and archaeozoology. He is currently working on a PhD-project looking into the taxonomy and ecomorphology of Indonesian Pleistocene cervidae using a geometric morphometric approach. It is hoped that the resulting data will serve as a valuable proxy for hominid palaeoecology in this region. Besides that, Ben is also involved in the analysis of much younger (late Holocene) faunal remains from Northern France at the Charles-de-Gaulle University- Lille III.
