Based in the Academic Office (Education Division), Recruitment and Admissions brings together a number of teams providing services in events, enquiry management, CRM, data analysis and forecasting, projects and compliance and admissions. It provides an essential service to the University in ensuring its financial sustainability and in delivering student number growth and increasing diversity. Our work supports student recruitment, which equates to over 50% of the University’s annual income. We are the public face of the University in UK schools and colleges, through our contact with prospects, enquirers and applicants across the world and through our events programme. The team includes a range of professionals from a number of specialisms including administrators, decision makers, data analysts and forecasters, IT specialists, designers and marketers, events managers and recruiters.
Recruitment and Admissions is made up of teams specialising in:
·Admissions: Receiving over 50,000 applications every year, the UG and PG Admissions teams work to deliver an excellent undergraduate and postgraduate application experience to potential and current students and an optimal admissions service for academic departments, including decision making on UG and PGT programmes. The teams also issue CAS for undergraduate and postgraduate offer holders requiring Tier 4 Student visas and undertakes fee status assessments.
·Student Recruitment Events: This team supports all aspects of UK student recruitment activity both on-site and off-site including schools engagement, undergraduate and postgraduate open days and events by engaging with tens of thousands of potential studentsand hundreds of teachers and advisers every year
·Enquiries: This team provides a central enquiries function for all pre-enrolment enquiries from the point of first contact with the University up to enrolment, answering over 4,000 enquiries per month
·CRM: This team supports the use of the CRM system, especially as a conversion tool from enquiry to enrolment, including collating, designing and delivering online campaigns to many tens of thousands of recipients
·Data and Analysis: This team provides University-wide management reporting and forecasting on recruitment and admissions, critical to the management of enrolment targets,and responds to external requests for admissions data, working with CIS in the use of Banner and CRM to record the applicant journey
·Projects and Compliance: This team supports the continuous improvement work of the Office, alongside policy development and co-ordinating compliance with external legal and statutory requirements such as Consumer Protection Legislation, General Data Protection Regulations, Equalities Legislation, Tuition Fees Assessment Regulations and UK Visas Regulations.
