Durham Research Online (DRO) is Durham University's institutional repository. DRO contains descriptions and in some cases full-text copies of journal articles, book chapters, conference papers and reports written by Durham academics.
What separates DRO from being just another online bibliographic database is that full-text items are available where publishers' copyright policies permit; usually not the publisher's own "definitive" version of the article, but often the post-refereed copy accepted for publication. The DRO record for each item makes clear which full-text version is available, and also provides a citation to the final published item and a link to its description on the publisher's web site.
Durham Research Online has its own set of FAQs, which provide further guidance and information.
