Biography
Gill Morrow is a Senior Research Associate. She has a degree in modern languages and politics. Having worked in publishing and as a primary school teacher, she moved into educational research and has a PhD in education. She then worked as a research fellow in health and social care, in particular undertaking evaluation of services for children, young people and families. She joined the Northern Deanery Research Team in 2006 and transferred with the team to Durham University in April 2010. She has undertaken national and regional projects including research on transitions of medical graduate to junior doctor, specialist registrar to consultant, and overseas doctors to the UK workplace. These and other studies have influenced the development of policy and practice at local and national level. Other recent work includes a project funded by the Health Professions Council on the development of professionalism.
