Biography

Nicky joined the Evaluation, Research and Development Unit as a researcher in July 2009. She has a BSc (Hons) Applied Psychology from Aston University and a postgraduate diploma in Health Psychology from City University. She has previously worked on a range of primary care research studies and evaluation projects at the University of Sunderland.  Her PhD thesis examined the influences on adherence to the gluten-free diet in adult coeliac disease. Her research interests include health-related beliefs and behaviours,  gastrointestinal disorders, behaviour change interventions and treatment adherence.
