Stephen Sproates: Numerous Forms of Number

Exhibition of 2D & 3D Works of Art Over the last 7 years Steve has collaborated with the 14th Astronomer Royal and Emeritus Professor of Physics at Durham University, Sir Arnold Wolfendale on ways to represent, clarify and communicate concepts of physics using art. Presently they are conceptualising ways to represent the wave/particle duality.

Steve’s present interests are: • The continued development of his three dimensional geometric ideas and the refinement of techniques in which to express these as objects of art. • His ongoing study of the psychological and spiritual dimensions of being a human, which also contributes to his artistic expression. • The synergistic relationship of mathematically, systematically, geometrically generated art and science, particularly physics.
