Charles Kingsley Barrett, distinguished Professor of Divinity at Durham University (1945-82), stood as one of the greatest British New Testament scholars of the 20th century. The Department of Theology & Religion is delighted to hold a public lecture in his honour, to be given by Prof Ben Witherington III, who completed his PhD here under the supervision of Professor Barrett.
