Ooook Productions Present - 'Blackadder II'
Thursday 13th - Saturday 16th June
This Easter term, Ooook! Productions present to you a theatre production of one of Britain's favourite sitcoms -Blackadder II (episodes 1, 2 & 5) In the court of Elizabeth I, or otherwise known as Queenie, Lord Edmund Blackadder attempts to win her wealth and favour. Selfish but witty, he is forever contending with the queen’s dangerously childish temper and the stupidity of his own followers.
Although an unpleasant character, his bad luck and incredible wit nevertheless endears him to the audience. The rivalry between Blackadder and Lord Melchett, together with the aid or more often hindrance, which Baldrick and Lord Percy Percy offer Blackadder, this is set to be an incredibly fun piece of comedy to be involved with! With the original cast featuring Rowan Atkinson and Stephen Fry, what more do you want?
