Durham Choral Society perform Mendelssohn's Elijah
Elijah is a particular favourite of choral societies and our 130-strong choir will be performing this grand oratorio in the magnificent surroundings of Durham Cathedral, a venue fit for a piece of this magnitude and popularity.
The first performance of Elijah was conducted by Mendelssohn himself in 1846 in Birmingham and had been performed by many-a-choir and orchestra in the last 167 years.
Tickets Nave: £18 and £16 for concessions
