Picture a London where the drudgery of capitalism and bureaucracy have broken the human spirit. Democracy is dead. When an eccentric clerk is made King, he decides to turn London into a medieval carnival for his own amusement. The boroughs are declared separate kingdoms with their own guard, banner and gathering cry and the capital is plunged into a strange type of medieval warfare. And then Notting Hill declares its independence...
