Fountains Theatre Company's Present - 'Good Grief'
Thursday 15th - Saturday 17th November
Book & Lyrics by Lucy Hughes
Music & Lyrics by Stephanie Jayne Amies
Three siblings come together at the wake of their estranged father's funeral where wine flows and social etiquette goes to pot. With lovers' tiffs, hash cookies and a horny cougar, years of suppressed tensions bubble to the surface with explosive consequences.
Originally staged at the Edinburgh Festival Fringe 2012 and nominated for Best Composer, Best Lyrics and Best New Musical at the MTM:UK Musical Theatre Awards, ‘Good Grief’ is a faced-paced musical comedy of controlling wives, sexually frustrated husbands and feminist vegan lesbians all dealing with bereavement and the age old-old tale of growing up. With a coffin. And profanity.
Performances: 15th, 16th, 17th November 2012
Time: 7.30pm
Venue: Fountains Hall, Grey College, Durham
