Pack your picnic for a weeken dof family fun on the river and enjoy the Northern Universities Boat Race; an amazing parade of boats, oars and rowers from Furham's World Heritage Site at Palace Green to the riverbanks and lots more.
What better way to celebrate the start of Durham's week long celebrations culminating in the arrival of the Olympic Torch.
Founders' Challenge Race 2pm - 3pm on Saturday 9th June.
