THis Seminar will be delivered by Rosie Campbell & Prof Maggie O'Neill from the School of Applied Social Sciences.
Rosie Campbell set up the Armistead project in Liverpool and still works for Armistead as a volunteer outreach worker. She founded the UK Network of Sex work projects and has researched and campaigned to get crimes against sex workers seen as hate crimes, as well as being instrumental in the national police initiatives on 'ugly mugs' data.
Her research talks about the complexity of the experiences of selling sex for women and the complex debates surrounding sex work.
Maggie O’Neill will be showing visual images [by sex workers] emerging from participatory action research & participatory arts conducted with Rosie called Safety Soap Box.
