Durham Drama Festival 2012

For 36 years the Durham Drama Festival has brought together University
students from across the UK to celebrate some of the best new student
writing that the country has to offer. Duirham Drama Festival comprises four days of workshops, performances and social events, making
the festival one of the highlights of the student theatre calendar.
This year's judging panel consists of a number of high-profile industry professionals, including prolific playwrights, representatives from the Royal Court and the National Theatre, and international directors and producers. In previous years these judges have gone on to take many of the festival's successes further afield, to the London fringe, Edinburgh Festival Fringe, and a number of international venues.
The festival hub is in The Assembly Rooms Theatre, just a stone's throw from Durham castle and Cathedral in the stunning heart of the city. This will also be the location of our box-office and information desk throughout the duration of the festival. As well as the Assembly Rooms, we also have a few different venues dotted around Durham, which will be announced along with our Festival Programme in early 2012.
