Sport
We are consistently successful in the intercollegiate sports league, winning second place overall in 2011.

Sport at Van Mildert forms a central part of student life. Van Mildert have at least one team in all the college leagues. There are, for example, five different men's football teams in Van Mildert alone.
There are over 25 sports clubs - ranging from the traditional (such as Rugby) to the ridiculous (such as Extreme Croquet). Some take sport very seriously, and others are far more laid back. But the college's well-stocked trophy cabinet pays tribute to the success of many of its sportier students.
In the last year Mildert Men's Basketball won both the League and the Trophy whilst the University Men's Football Trophy Final saw two different Mildert teams taking each other on. Women's Rugby hold the astounding record of having only suffered one defeat in six years.
The great thing about sport at Mildert is that it is highly flexible. Participants can participate in numerous college sports without compromising other aspects of their University Life. It is common to find the Captain of the Basketball team doubling as the Social Sec for the Rugby team.
There is a great competitive spirit between the teams - regularly coming out to support each other, and giving each other plenty of inter-team banter.
On the social side the teams often contribute to charity events - the Annual Men's Rugby striptease is a particular favourite - and numerous sports teams were pictured for last year's Van Mildert Naked Calendar.
Both on and off the pitch, Mildert sport is loved and supported by all and is an integral part of college life.
