Visit Van Mildert

We hold a number of open days throughout the year, both for students who are considering applying to Van Mildert, and for students who have already been offered a place to study at Durham University.

Pre-application Open Days

You can get a taste of what Durham University and Van Mildert College has to offer by attending one of the pre-application events we run. The University will be offering two pre-application open days in Durham City:

• Monday 27^th June 2011
• Saturday 2^nd July 2011

These events will provide an opportunity for those interested in Durham University to gain a real insight into the Durham student experience. Departments, colleges and other student support services and facilities will be available for talks, tours and demonstrations. There is also likely to be a limited amount of University managed accommodation available. Places will be limited and therefore pre-booking will be required. There will be an opportunity to meet Van Mildert staff on both days, and to view our facilities.

For those who are unable to attend one the open days, the college provides smaller scale opportunities to visit Van Mildert, please see below for further information.

Post-application open days

(For students who have been offered a place at Durham University and will be members of Van Mildert College) 

When? To Be Confirmed

are desigend for applicants who hold a conditional or unconditional offer of a place on an undergraduate course and membership of Van Mildert College.

You will arrive in college on either Monday or Tuesday afternoon to take part in a range of information sessions and social activites organised by our current students. We also offer you an evening meal and an overnight stay in a standard student room prior to attending the departmental Open Day on the following day. All this is desigend to give you a real feel for the place and help you decide whether Durham University and Van Milder College is the right place for you
