Research Forum

Postgraduate students from Van Mildert, St. Aidan's, St. Mary's and Trevelyan Colleges will be presenting their research through a series of talks and poster presentations on Saturday 16th February 2013 between 2pm and 6pm in the Turner and Ustinov Rooms, Van Mildert College.

The event will provide an insight into the work being undertaken by the postgraduate members of the four colleges, as well as representing the variety of research conducted within the University, with postgraduates from each of the three Faculties taking part.

Light refreshments will be provided throughout the event. 

Information for presenters: 

Presenters are able to submit an abstract for a talk, poster or both.  Abstracts should be 150 words and be submitted to vm.mcrpresident@durham.ac.uk.  

Abstracts for talks should be received by 25th January 2013 and abstracts for poster presentations should be submitted by 1st February 2013.  

Talks should last for 15 minutes, followed by five minutes of questions.  Posters can be A0 or A1, landscape or portrait (please specify during the submission of the abstract).

It is worth noting that there are a limited number of speaking times available and it is therefore possible that some speakers may be asked to present a poster rather than providing a talk.  Speakers will be informed of whether a speaking slot is available within 48 hours of the Talk Abstract deadline.
