Events and Reunions

VMA organises two annual reunions for all of its members, a dinner and residential weekend at Van Mildert over the summer and a reunion dinner in Oxford in the Winter. However there are numerous other events that take place all over the country, and we are happy to help advertise or organise reunions and other events in specific areas or for specific area groups. Drinks with the Principal in London

On Tuesday 16th April from 8 pm there will be another chance to meet with Prof. David Harper, the current Principal of Van Mildert College, and fellow Mildertians for informal drinks. This promises to be an excellent opportunity to find out about the latest happening in Van Mildert. We will be trying a new venue this time – The Goat Tavern, 3 Stafford Street, Mayfair, London, W1S 4RP. All very welcome!

2013 Van Mildert College Alumni Reunion Weekend

As always, the reunion weekend promises to be an exciting opportunity to meet up with fellow members of the Mildert community and also meet current students. While all graduates are very welcome, 2013 marks a decade since the class of 2003 walked through the doors or Mildert for the very first time - it would be wonderful to see many of you return for the reunion weekend to mark this memorable occasion!

Celebratory lunch to mark Dr Paul Kent's 90th Birthday - Harris-Manchester College, Oxford

The VMA is delighted to announce its celebration of Paul Kent's 90th. birthday at a lunch in Harris-Manchester College, Oxford, on Saturday, 27th. April. Paul was Mildert's distinguished second Master (1972-82).

The lunch will comprise 3 courses, accompanied by wine, and conclude with coffee/tea etc. An aperitif will be served from 12.30; lunch will follow at 1 pm. The inclusive cost is £30 per head for Members and £36 per head for non-Members.

Please complete the booking slip below (including any particular dietary requirements) and return it together with a cheque for the full amount, made payable to the Van Mildert Association, to Vicky Brown at College, by Monday, 15th. April at the latest, to allow us to meet Harris-Manchester's deadline for confirmation of numbers and requirements.

This will be the third lunch the Association has held at Harris-Manchester in recent years; the previous two were well attended and were hugely enjoyable. Many will have fond memories of the super food and wine and most attractive venue we experienced on both those occasions. I do hope you will be able to make what promises to be a wonderful event.
