Catering

Typical Ustinov shared kitchen
Ustinov College is self-catered.
In single accommodation, you usually share a kitchen with six to eight other students. Kitchens are spacious and well-equipped and also provide a great social space where you can meet others.
In couples 'Don's Set' accommodation, you share a kitchen with others.
In one, two or three bedroom flats, you have a private kitchen.
Kitchens typically include: oven, fridge, freezer, kettle, toaster, microwave, iron and ironing board, vacuum cleaner.
Groceries
We have an on-site shop (on our Howlands Farm site) providing all the basics necessities and, in addition, supermarket deliveries can be made to the College.
In the city centre (easily accessible via the Park and Ride bus directly outside the College from both Howlands Farm and Dryburn Court) you will find a Tesco Metro which provides amply for the needs of the vast majority of students, as well as many smaller shops and the indoor market which provides discounts to students. Alternatively, there are several bigger supermarkets on the outskirts of the city (including Sainsbury's and Tesco Extra) which can be reached by bus.
Formal dining

Formal dinner at Ustinov College
Formal dinners are an integral part of the social calendar at Ustinov. Formals are held every term, including the Bonfire Night Formal and the Burns' Night Formal, which includes bagpipes, haggis and a ceilidh! The annual College May Ball is held in June in a stately home nearby. Students who opt into the College Mentor system may be invited to a College Mentor Dinner, held every term.

Cafe @ Ustinov
If you prefer not to cook for yourself, the coffee shop in Fisher House is open during the day and serves light meals, breakfasts, sandwiches, panini, soups, etc, and a variety of coffees, teas and soft drinks. Toasties are available from the college bar in the evening.
