College Life

Ustinov College welcomes students from all over the world. We welcome students following programmes in any subject and from all over the world. Students come from Europe, Africa, the Middle East, Asia, the Americas and Australasia, and of course from the UK. Every student can opt to be allocated a College Mentor, often a member of staff at the University or someone from the local community, to help them settle in and get used to living and studying in Durham. This is also a good way to meet other people and find out something about the British way of life if you are from overseas.

Students come to Durham because of its strong academic reputation and because of the community and support that is provided by the college system.
As Durham's wholly postgraduate College,Ustinov specialises in providing support, facilities and accommodation tailored to the needs of postgraduate students. Our membership includes students at all levels of postgraduate study, and is split between taught masters and research students.
"I must say I have made the right decision when choosing to live in Ustinov College. The college is not just a place to live in; it has become my second home." Trang Thu Vu (MBA, 2009-10)
