Welcome to Ustinov College, Durham's postgraduate college. Ustinov College offers a relaxed environment in which postgraduate students can find the support and facilities they need to concentrate on their work.
Postgraduate students of every subject and from everywhere in the world are guaranteed a warm welcome and acceptance at Ustinov. The community of 'Ustinovians' consists of 1600 postgraduate student members, senior members and staff.
We can offer single accommodation to the majority of our students in their first year, and many students throughout their entire time as Durham students.
All student members are automatically members of the Graduate Common Room, the student body which organises college social events.

The seminars are held by Adrian Urmanov,
a Romanian poet who has published in Romania, England and the USA.
He holds an MA in Creative Writing from the University of Warwick
and has been running creative writing seminars since 2005.
The seminars are FREE and open to anyone interested in writing poetry.

Membership is available to all postgraduate students, studying on research or taught degrees. Our membership is extremely varied, with younger and more mature members,and many international students.
The College Offices and most of our accommodation and facilities are based at Howlands Farm. There is further single accommodation, and flats for couples and families at Dryburn Court. All our accommodation is self-catering.
If you would like to apply for membership of Ustinov College , then please write Ustinov College as your first choice of college on the Postgraduate Application Form . We will send you a membership form which you should complete and return to the College Office.
