Step 1: Income

The support with costs page will help you to work out what your income will be during your first year. 

  • Not all the categories below will apply to you, just fill in the ones that do. If you have a source of income that doesn't come into any of the categories below, use the blank spaces at the bottom of the table.
  • Don't enter any income that you're not sure you will actually get. For example, if you're hoping to get a job over the Christmas and Easter vacations but aren't sure whether you will be able to find one, don't enter any income in the 'Vacation Work' category. You can always amend your budget as your circumstances change.
  • Note that there is no category for 'Tuition Fee Loan' in the Income section. This is because any Tuition Fee Loan you take out is paid directly to the University by the Student Loans Company.
