Gap year

If you wish to take a year out between school and university you should check your nominated department's policy on deferred entry (see each departmental entry or website).

Some departments welcome applications submitted during your last year at school, particularly if you are seeking to gain experience relevant to your degree. Others would prefer you to apply in the year between school and university.
