Vacancies 2009

Vacancies will be published at UCAS from 20 August 2009 (http://www.ucas.ac.uk/resultsandnextsteps/ ).

Any vacancies that we have will be available to applicants both in Adjustment and in Clearing.

Guidance for applicants and their advisers about Adjustment can be found at http://www.ucas.ac.uk/resultsandnextsteps/Adjustment /.

Guidance for applicants and their advisers about Clearing can be found at http://www.ucas.ac.uk/resultsandnextsteps/Clearing /.

Not all our programmes will have vacancies, and some vacancies may be filled quickly. There is no guarantee that places will be available on any particular course.

Please note that our entry requirements will not be lowered for applicants in Adjustment and Clearing. You are still required to achieve the same grades as other applicants through the cycle. Please check our departments' web pages at www.durham.ac.uk/undergraduate/courses/ for details of entry requirements.

If you are interested in applying to us via Adjustment or Clearing, you can find out more about how to contact us at: www.durham.ac.uk/undergraduate/apply/Clearing /process/.

Record of Prior Acceptance (RPA) form

If you wish to apply to one of our Clearing vacancies and you have not yet applied through UCAS, you will need to complete a Record of Prior Acceptance or RPA form.  Please check that you meet our minimum entry requirements before contacting our Clearing helpline on 0191 334 0740 to discuss whether we can offer you a place.  If we are able to offer you a place, we will request that you complete and return the relevant RPA form as quickly as possible.

You must also send us clear copies of your examination results to confirm that the information you have provided us and on which we have made an offer is accurate.

Please do not send us your RPA form and confirmation of your qualifications without receiving a verbal offer from us.
