Non-University accommodation

During your time here, you will probably spend at least one year in non-university accommodation - usually your second year. A range of rental accommodation is available in Durham City and its neighbouring villages, and in Stockton and the surrounding area.

This is a great opportunity to share a house or flat with friends you've made in your first year. The accommodation offices at Durham and Queen's Campus are there to help you through the process of finding non-university accommodation.

While we encourage all students to live in college during their first year, we appreciate that you may have commitments or circumstances which mean you need to live out of college.

If you wish to live out of college during your first year please notify your college that you do not require accommodation as soon as you receive details of your college allocation. Contact details for each college can be found on individual college websites.
