Every year the MCR looks to travel to Wallington House, a National Trust site, home of our College namesake G. M. Trevelyan and the ancestral home of the Trevelyan family. It is our ambition as a community that we establish a new and more thorough, well-defined and most importantly achievable programme of volunteer work to cement our ties with Wallington House. Here you can find information regarding visits and feedback reports from those who have attended previous trips.
We attend a number of trips throughout the year, usually once a term. Here are the trips planned for the 2012/2013 academic year:
1st/2nd December
2nd/3rd March
4th/5th May
6th/7th July
10th/11th August
Serving as a fantastic opportunity to escape the pressures of postgraduate study and college life, as well as Durham itself, for a couple of days, these trips serve as a fantastic opportunity to strengthen the camaraderie of the MCR as well as our relationship with Wallington House.
