Description

The purposes or aims of this session are to provide an overview of the University’s discipline regulations, policies and processes related to serious academic and behavioural misconduct.

The objectives are:

  • to enhance the awareness and understanding of the regulations as they apply to misconduct;
  • to convey the support and information available to those dealing with these matters;
  • to promote good practice in managing disciplinary matters;
  • to update colleagues on changes to University regulations, policies and processes;
  • to use case studies to assist with understanding and applying good practice as it applies.

The workshop is suitable for chairs of boards of studies, heads of departments and heads of houses, and for staff who support students, including college tutors and academic advisors.

The facilitators will be Professor Antony Long, Senate Disciplinary Committee Chair and Josh McKim of the Academic Support Office.
