Judaism in Antiquity
Durham’s research strengths, especially in Second Temple Judaism, give opportunities for research in many areas, including the Jewish diaspora in the Roman Empire; postbiblical Judaism, Aramaic Targums, Septuagint, Talmud and Midrash; Jewish Apocrypha and Pseudepigrapha; Dead Sea Scrolls; and Jews and the Church Fathers. We also offer teaching of several ancient languages, including Hebrew, Aramaic, Syriac and Ethiopic.
