The Ushaw lecture series has been organized with the aim of promoting the archival material and heritage items held at the site. They will also act as a lead in to the publication of a volume entitled The Treasures of Ushaw. As such the lectures will explore different aspects of Ushaw’s history and that of the Catholic community more generally, with expert contributors drawn from within and outside the university.’ The theme of the talks is ‘English Catholic reactions to Enlightenment Arts and Sciences’.
