Academic Programme

Your experience at summer school is loosely modelled on the experiences of a first year undergraduate. You can expect to have four full days of academic activity, normally including a lecture and a seminar as well as tutorial style teaching. Academic sessions are designed to be challenging and inspiring. You will hear about the kinds of research questions that are being asked at Durham University and you will develop a sense of the many opportunities that are available to you within each academic department. Each subject strand is led by an academic expert and supported by university teaching assistants.
